Codes of Conduct

  1. Business Practices – we are fully committed to prevent and detect fraud, fiscal mismanagement and misappropriation of funds.
  2. Witnessing of Documents- the agency will regard the witnessing of signature to be accurate and accountable.
  3. Marketing Practices- activities will never knowingly mislead or misinform the public or misrepresent ADOFAM.
  4. Service Delivery- we are committed to providing the highest quality services and continuously monitor and seek to improve the quality of those services.
  5. Conflict of Interest- take reasonable steps to resolve the issue in a manner that makes the clients’ interests primary and protects clients’ interests to the greatest extent possible.
  6. Personal Fundraising- Employees shall not engage in coercive solicitation such as seeking donations, encouraging purchases or taking a position on an issue outside the workplace.
  7. Exchange of Gifts, Gratuities and Money- Employees do not give or accept items (money, personal items, cd’s, cigarettes, clothes, etc.) from or to clients, external agencies, funders, or other vendors.
  8. Personal Property- we prohibit any items on the premises that are sexually suggestive, offensive, or demeaning to specific individuals or groups, along with firearms or weapons.
  9. Setting Boundaries- employees should not engage in dual or multiple relationships with clients or former clients, in which there is a risk of exploitation or potential harm to the client.
  10. Professional Responsibilities- It is the policy of ADOFAM that all staff, who are bound by codes of ethics for their are expected to remain familiar and up-to-date with, and adhere to, their respective codes.
  11. Human Resources- we strive to ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Workforce Diversity guidelines and encourage hiring of qualified candidates who reflect the diversity of the community and population served.
  12. Contractual Relationships- we will adhere to all Federal and State guidelines when entering into contracts while maintaining professional boundaries.
  13. Prohibition of Fraud, Waste and Abuse and Other Wrongdoings- ADOFAM will not participate in, condone, or be associated with dishonesty, fraud, or deception.
